biography
Ben Hicks is an LA based freelance composer and sound designer primarily for videogames and trailers. He’s contributed music to several games, including League of Legends, Bright Memory: Infinite, Naraka: Bladepoint, Honor of Kings, Colony 42 and many others. He’s also had his music placed in multiple trailer campaigns for networks such as HBO (Tina, The Outsider), Peacock (Dr Death), Netflix (Army of Thieves) and others.
While growing up in Florida, his interest in music began at a young age after hearing the scores to classic films such as The Lion King, Indiana Jones (series), Edward Scissorhands, Alien, Batman, Back To The Future and Forest Gump. The strong melodies and larger-than-life orchestrations found within these scores played a huge role in influencing the development of his musical language. He’s best known for weaving modern production techniques with catchy melodic themes, giving his music an exciting and memorable feel.
